A Super Surprise Holiday

Hi There

How wonderful it is when, unexpectedly, and against all odds, things fall so perfectly into place!!!! It came together quite by accident and even so, it was almost like a planned!!! holiday!!!
The lodge at the edge of a waterhole

It started with a free holiday that was given to Zennet but having just returned from a holiday in Mozambique, gave it to Margaret!!!  But the time was running out on this free holiday!!! and with really short notice,  Margaret and Heinie managed to get leave and the holiday was on!!!
Isn't this just a Perfect Spot???

But the biggest surprise was still to come!!! Mom and Dad was going to be treated to a very well deserved holiday and they were going on their very first holiday in the Kruger National Park!!!!
                  The lodge at night....

And before they knew what was happening, they were all off on holiday!!!! This is quite big for my parents, because they never go on holiday!!! Too busy doing and giving to others to even think of themselves!!! (And camera shy!!! just got a new meaning!!!)
Mom and Dad relaxing and keeping an watchful eye on the waterhole...

Even though it rained most of the time, here are some of the game they saw...

Hippos....

Crocodiles....

A lost radio tracking collar...
Rhinos...

Zebra....

Giraffe...

Cheetah....

Elephant....

Fish Eagles...
Vervet Monkeys...

Buffalo..

Hyena...
Weary Waterbuck ...
....and a leopard
A family of warthog...
Wildebeest...

White peacocks....
And of course the beautiful countryside...
And the magnificent Crocodile River...

And beautiful waterholes!!!

Love the rocks at this waterhole...
One of the few picnic spots where you're allowed to get out of your vehicle....
And of course there's nothing nicer than a mid-day nap when you're on holiday...
Margaret said that Mom and Dad had the binoculars permanently at their eyes!!! And it was a constant competition as to who was going to see the next animal first!!! There were so much more they saw, especially birds, but having just done a post on birds, I think you've all had your fill of our little feathered friends!!!
And so a unplanned holiday turned into a holiday of a life time for Mom and Dad!!! It's now a couple of weeks later and still they can't stop talking about their fantastic!!! first Kruger National Park Holiday!!!!
It warms my heart every time to hear them talk with such excitement!!!
Thank you Makie and Zennie for making it possible!!! I love you soooooo much!!!

Love
AMarie
